Question Escort engine swap

I'm looking into swapping the engine from 95 escort wagon (1.9L) into a 98 escort wagon (2.0L). Both cars are std. transmission. Does anyone know if the engines are compatable?

Re: Escort engine swap

have to agree w/ alteczx2. the 1.9 is worthless to a tuner.unless it runs the put an escort together cheap and sell it .you then buy parts off of profit. the 2.0 is where you should stay.
