Codes 23, 26, and 39

Anyway, I'm getting these three codes: 23: Manifold air temp 26: Quad driver circuit 39: Torque Converter Clutch Breakdown: Code 23: I think this one is being caused by my recently installed ram-air tube. The air temp sensor was temporarilly removed after the new intake was installed and since then I have just had it dangling in the engine bay. I think this would be solved if I cut a hole in the intake and install it...but I posted it here just in case. 26: "Quad Driver Module fault, not to immediately replace the PCM if the QDM is failing because more than likely it is a device that the QDM is controlling that is at fault" (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...hlight=code+26) Ok, I have replaced the ECM but the problem persists. I know the ECM is not faulty so that means that whatever it is controlling is the problem...and it controls the TCC....which points to: 39: "Torque converter clutch( Check ECM connections, check for faulty Torque converter clutch solenoid), coil pack with intermittent open" (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...hlight=code+39) I swapped the coils/ICM with a spare set I had laying around but that didn't do the trick either. Conclusion: My problem is related to my TCC solenoid. At this point I didn't find much in the forums regarding this. However, I have noticed that lately when I accelerate I hear a humming noise and feel a vibration from the general direction of the transmission. Previously, I have just assumed that this was caused by my very nasty and leaky exhaust pipes (have been chopped up and welded on several times and I just thought the noise was related to excess gas squeezing out of the poor welds but I think I was just trying to fool myself). I recall seeing a similar issue in a previous post, but I can't recall where or when I saw it. At this point, I would love it if anyone could explain to me how to test and/or replace the TCC solenoid. Any more suggestions as to what to look for/at?

First of all, start by putting that temp. sensor back into the intake. The ECM thinks the air going into your engine is as hot as the air under the hood. I'm suprised it runs well like that..

Yeah you have to correct the intake air temp sensor issue. You going to have to drill a spot on the snorkel for that.
The TCC issue, you can disconnect it. It will effect mileage to the negative a little. Or replace it, it's not that hard. On the QDM failure, that is elusive code, I saw something somewhere that it is a 'cross code' of types and it's really a circuit that the dirver controls. I wanna say EGR but I'm going off the top of my head. |

As for the temp sensor, I just moved so my tools are buried (specifically my drill and bits) so the best I can do at the moment is to zip tie the sensor onto the cone filter and enclose the intake in a CAI box made of cardboard... As for the EGR, I have a spare somewhere that I can swap it out with (if I can find it). Otherwise, I have (another) reman'ed ECM that I can swap in, but I've already replaced it once to no avail.
