i need help with my 328i

hey i have a 1997 bmw 328i and i was wondering if anyone had any tips for making my car fast for cheap.

You can get a 97 328i for as low at $8500. I dont really call that expensive. Perhaps he dumped all of his money into buying the car and doesnt have a lot to spend on mods.

look i'm 16 so i barely have ne money and i picked the car up for $6900.... and cheap will prolly b less than $400 or $500 and i'm only sayin that price becuz i kno bmw's are expensive to buy for. so if u have ne suggestions on what i should pick up first please help me out.

A good air filter, definitely. But if you just spend some time to maintain it well, such as oil change, tranny fluid, differential fluid, spark plugs. It will be quick enough already. Because I own a 325, it gets slower everytime there's something that's not maintained well. So I rather think how to keep its original power without losing it, than thinking how to make it faster without keeping it in good shape. So I would say "if you're tight in budget, just spend money to maintain the car well" You won't regret.

For round $500 you can get a chip and a k&n airfilter. get you about 20hp. youll feel the differance at highway speeds.
