SRT-4...Really that good?

Hey guys I have been watching videos from http://videos.streetfire.net/ on the SRT-4 and it seems against alot of the cars in the videos it loses the majority of the time. Such as vs. RSX-S's, Civic Si's and stuf liek that. I thought the SRT-4 was supposed to be faster than both of those. I understand that they may have mods that affect the outcome. But does the SRT-4 really live up to all the hype? is it as good as it is said to be?

For the money it can't be beat, but there are better choices out there. They will just cost you more money.

Re: SRT-4...Really that good?

Next step up would be an Evo or STI

Stock for Stock the SRT-4 rapes the RSX and any Civic ever made!
but once you get into modding anything can happen....shit there is a Tercel with a Starlet motor and mods here in my town that smokes me!

The aftermarket for the SRT-4 is also very good so mods can take it well up there.
I think its a good car for street racing, they have solid blocks, great aftermarket and good potential.

Re: SRT-4...Really that good?

In a straight line it's the fastest of the fwd tuner cars (it's faster than a lot of the awd/rwd tuner cars as well). Although, the Hondas and Acuras will handle a decent amount better.

The videos you are watching are races against moddified cars, or really bad Srt drivers.

This is why you don't need anything faster.

Re: SRT-4...Really that good?

Cheap, good power, easy to mod, strong motor, quickish-good idea

FWD, 205 Tires, Boost leaks like crazy, not all that quick if you can't drive it well-bad application.

The SRT-4, imho, was a great idea, but bad application into a vehicle.

Re: SRT-4...Really that good?

im not trying to start anything, its just the facts. The car doesnt even have power rear windows. Its great car for pure speed and power on a budget.
