84 fiero problems

Hi all, i've been reading through these boards since i got my 84 fiero a couple months ago. When I first got it, it ran fine except for a little erratic idling at times. Then one day it died on me. Found out the ignition switch went bad. Also the wire from the ignition switch that goes to the starter is shorted out somewhere, i couldn't figure out where the short was so I hooked up a switch directly from the starter to get it started. All of that worked fine the car started, but ran very badly. It would idle very high then very low, then when putting it in drive or reverse and pressing the accelorator it would stumble and die. So I replaced plugs, wires, rotar and cap, fuel filter, and the coolent temp sensor.

After doing all that it is running a little better, I drove it around the block but it is still stumbling when i hit the accelorator. I have a friend who is a mechanic that has been helping me and he is now suggesting a new map sensor, if anyone out there has any advise it would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the long description
