Replace O2 sensor question
Hi all,
I was trying to replace the o2 sensor because of the ECU code 41. For anyone with such experience, did you have to remove the exhaust shroud before screwing the sensor out? I noticed that it is pretty difficult to access the sensor with the exhaust shroud in place. Specially tools? Thank you, |

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
I don't have the answer to this, but I have O2 sensor questions. I have '90 Honda Civic. The engine check light comes on when the engine goes at high speed or up a hill. Is it the O2 sensor? Now I'm having trouble starting it when it's hot. Is it hard to replace the sensor?

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
You will have to get the trouble code that triggered the check engine light to make sure what the problem is.
Here is how: http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/ Good luck, |

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
If I replace my o2 sensor, will it change my fuel-to-air ratio in the ecu or do I have to bring it in for them to do that?

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
The ecu will change it on it's own.

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
So if I have really rich fuel, it wont be rich anymore?
Will it trigger a check engine code?

Re: Replace O2 sensor question
As long as it's running rich because of a bad O2 sensor, then it won't run rich anymore when you replace it. And you should only need to replace the O2 sensor if you're already throwing a code. If you're running rich and not throwing a code for the O2 sensor, chances are that there is a different problem.
