Welcome to AF on your first post.
Selling used cats is kinda touchie on the legal end.
A lot of places it is illegal for a savage yard to sell a used cat.
Most muffler shops or parts places can get new ones.
Parts places usually have a direct fit OEM type that is good with a good price.

If someone took one off their car, chances its not that good to go through all the effort to change it.

Price a new one, you can get a good idea by checking some online sites like Autozone or Napa and maybe save a few bucks.

Like said if someone took one off beware.
If you have a good salvage yard connection they may be able to help.
But as said used cats is touchie on the legal end.
Good luck

Most people dont know, but the Cat is required to be under warrenty for 7 years 75000 miles, so if your in that time, take it to a chevy dealership and they will take it for you. For the cheapest option, your better off getting an aftermarket cat. They are alot cheaper. And you will get a better sound and possibly better gas milage. Good luck

Re: wanted used oem catalytic converter

In NY the dealer used to have to cover any emissions equipment for 50k miles, not sure what it is now. The NAPA one that I got cost me $115 and $27 for some hose kit adapter, took me an hour to install with air tools on my driveway.

It made a huge difference in the car's performance. I think mine was clogged up from the previous owner driving it around with a blown computer which richens up the mixture for the "limp home" mode.

So if you got a clogged cat with relatively low miles (mine was done at 137k or so) look upstream to see if you have an engine condition you need to take care of.

Just hit the quote button and type your message under the quote in box and sumit reply.

You can even put the little things like this in there to.

The Federal emissions warranty has always been 8 years or 80K cats and pcm.
The dealer might have got mixed up some where.
Good Luck
