02 galant completely DEAD! help!

hey, i have couple of q's. in dec of 2004, my husband was killed in a car accident and i decided to move back with my parents. i was driving a 2002 mitsu galant and decided to get a van b/c i was paranoid about safety and my kids in a car. anyway, the galant has been sitting in my parent's driveway since about april of 2005 and hasn't been driving since. my dad tried to start it a couple of months ago and when he turned it, he heard this huge clunk sound and now it's completely dead. nothing will come on, not even the interior lights. he's afraid the engine is no good. what could be wrong with it and how much could it cost to get it up and running? i need to get it towed to the local shop, but i want to know about how much $ it will cost if it does need a new engine. I REALLY NEED THIS CAR GOING SO I CAN SELL IT ASAP! is there any hope? any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated by this young widow. thanks!!!

well if none of the power is going and its been siting for that long, try charging the battery or getting a new one. vans usually arent ideal for safety.
