not having enough amps.
hi, i am in the middle of getting a system and after doing some calculations for watts to amps i found out that i need at least 250 amps to run a 3k w system but the only high outout alternator i can find is 180 amp is there any way that i can be able to get a 3k watts with this alt

3000W is alot of Power, 500 is usually enough to rumble ur stomach and do ur head in with a good sub. 3000W, i respect that and i wish you luck.

depends on how you listen to it. If you listen to it wide open with heavy bass music all the time - then your calculations are probably pretty good. If you listen to more musical material or just burp it, those calcs are pretty much meaningless.

i listen to rap the amp i plan on using is a kicker kx2500. it is rated for 2500 but almost all of them their birthsheet says almost 3k. the sub is 1 kicker solo x
