What's wrong with my car?

I was driving my car I shifted it into 1st gear it got stuck, and then I shut it off got it into 1st again, it made a cluck then it grinded. My shifter became loose, when I get it into 3rd gear, it makes a ticking noise. What the hell is going on????????
