00 GA 3.5L Where do I check Trans. Oil?

Where and how do I check the transmisson oil? Ive seen the fill plug just to the right side of the block .But being i know u check tranny oil w/ motor still warmed up I fine this un safe and in sure its not a dip stick!

You can't check it from the top of the engine--there is no dipstick. GM need only look to fusterclucks like this to figure out why it's having trouble selling cars and making money. To check the tranny fluid level, you actually have to put the car on a lift, make sure it's level, and then pull the check plug from the side of the transmission (once it has cooled). Then, add fluid until it flows out the plug. Once fluid flows out the plug, you have the right level. If it's been a while since the fluid was changed, might as well just do a whole fluid and filter change once you have the car up on the lift.
