Re: car elec. cuts out

Hi,
If you want to start simply: I have been amazed over the years by how a little corrosion buildup on the Battery terminals can cause big problems. I have also seen on my '96 where a slightly loose cable at the battery produced similar symptoms as you describe, however with my van, the entire vehicle would go cold, then snap back.

Re: car elec. cuts out

You could have a bad ground OR power connection.
The best way is to start at the A/C compressor and work back to the battery and also the alternator.
I have read posts about corrosion at the starter connections, but usually one has problems starting.

ON the 95 & 96.....I don't know what year they moved all the relays into the relay box in the engine compartment....
The A/C compressor gets power from the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) which contains relays for the A/C compressor (PCM drives these relays), Radiator fan High and Low speeds, and the fuel pump.
I have pictures of the CCRM in my pictures that the link in my signature takes you to.
Relays can be very picky about the voltage at which they will work....so corroded connections can cause some strange problems.
