thats a great old kit. buy a word of caution to anyone who's gonna build one. its a multi-piece body. and is very complicated to put together. on the plus side. the kit will include stock wheel covers for the first time since the original issue

Re: New Revell A.G. announcementes!

anyone else more interested in the 308 than the 599 or is it just me?

i'm hoping it's either a new full detail tooling or at the very least a re-issue of the 70s kit.
maybe there's hope for the 365 boxer getting a re-issue soon too!

WOW...finally the BMW E24 M635CSi gets rereleased!!!
The 308 is nice too...I like the 80's-90's Ferraris better than the new ones :-)

Don't let the number fool you; Revell AG does this all the time with future issue kits. I remember the 612 and Superamerica being listed as "9" before they came out, and they're "3" now.

If you want to build them right now, you'll have to know how to operate the injection-molding machines yourself. Advanced modelers only.

I never expected to hear myself saying this but I hope it isnt the revell full detail kit. I mean that 70ies tool that was later released as the "Magnum PI's " car . Those car proportions are awful for a 308. It looks as though it has been squashed like a bug! I would much prefer the Monogram tool even though its a curbside.

A funny thing crossed my mind however .It looks as if somebody in Germany has been closely following allthe Fujimi Ferrari announcements/releases since January as they seem to be coming up with the same stuff. First the 430 coupe, then the spider, then the Superamerica and now the 308....Weird

Ditto on the full-detail 308; shape is terrible and the rest isn't so great either.

Don't forget the 599 GTB Fiorano; Fujimi hasn't officially announced it, but they showed a preliminary solid mockup of a 599 in 1/24 scale at Shizuoka in May (they also showed a Porsche Cayman in 1/24). Usually we see these kinds of things about 6 months or so before the kit is available. So we may have two different 599's available before the end of the year.

Re: New Revell A.G. announcementes!

actually, i'm of the mind that the "squashed" revell 308 is more accurate in shape than the monogram tool.
if you compare both to a hasegawa 328, you'll see that neither revell or monogram is identical to it but the monogram is a little too exaggerated compared to the revell.
sure the revell 308 kit is typical 80s quality but i think it is still the better kit.
