4th gen handling

Does the LS1 Camaro have better handling then the LT1 or are they about the same?

Re: 4th gen handling

They might use different sway bars...but i think they are pretty much the same. Ls1 cars got bigger brakes.

boy do they... I would also say that cornering at 90* angles would get more oversteer in an LS1

Re: 4th gen handling

LS1 woudl handle a little better due to the reduced weight in the front end

mine does not, and it even has new shocks and struts. My tires are balanced well and it wants to shake over like 90mph.

From experience the 3rd gens handle better. I feel more comfortable throwing my 89 camaro into a corner instead of a 4th gen.

What do you mean? I have and the Iroc-Z doesn't really feel comfortable but mine's lowered.

Are you serious about a 3rd gen having better handling? It doesn't turn enough for me. The steering is very limited compared to imports I've driven and I'm expecting some better handling from the 4th gen LT1s since I'm buying one.

Just go test drive a fourth gen and see for yourself. I just loved the way my 89 maro handled.

Re: 4th gen handling

I've driven both and its hard to say which handles better but I agree the LS1 handles slightly better and I am unsure of between 4th Gens and 3rg gens cause neither feels all that nimble to me although I know my strut tower brace and subframes helped alot.

Re: 4th gen handling

I'm not used to driving a solid axle, I've had IRS on my nissan. I finally got under there and was like "what the hell, where's the axle?"
