I need some assistance/advice? I have a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis. I got a flat tire tonight. As I went to pull the tire off, I noticed that the hub cap is locked on there with some sort of star shaped nut, and the correct tool to remove this apparatus wasnt in the vehicle
. What the hell is this, and how do I remove it!!!!!

Re: Rear wheel lock
It's just what you said, a wheel lock. They came factory with aluminum wheels. If you have already checked around the rear of the car where that jack mounts, then call the ford dealer and see if they can get you a key for it. If not then weld a lug nut over the lock and remove it along with the other 3 locks on the other wheels. If you have hub caps on there that are lockable then they are off of a 91 and older grand marquis.
