Noise from right side

1993 LeSabre 98,500 miles.

as i accelerate i hear a sound coming from the right side of the car. I cant tell if its from the front or the rear. i was wondering if these cars have a differential in the front end that may be low on oil? it sounds like it may be a tire balance problem or tire inflation, i havent checked the tires yet. but does anyone know if i should look for certain signs of any particular problem this may sound like??

thanks

Re: Noise from right side

You probably have a cracked/torn CV axle boot. Is it making a clak-clak-clak-clak noise, especially on acceleration and turning?

You should be able to jack up the car and manually inspect it. Otherwise, I would say bad tires, stuck calipers, or worn shoes.
