Engine Replacement Due to Internal Oil Consumption

Has anyone else had noise comming from the engine compartment and not sure what it is? Well there is a problem with the 2.5 Altima's and Nissan is not making people happy right away. Seems that an undetermined part is causing the engines to burn the oil after only 700 miles. For me it is clear they need to replace my car , Full Stop. I did not pay 20+K and then after 3 months have the engine replaced. If you are having this problem please contact them and complain , Complain , COMPLAIN!

There is a Service Bulletin on Some 06 Altimas and sentras with the 2.5 engine. What the problem is , Nissan is not saying. But From the rumors of what i have heard . Assembly issue. For this i can understand your concern. But here is the Good with the Bad. OK you need a new engine after 700 miles. Nissan Engines are very reliable engines and with this i am sure you will be more than satisfied with the repairs they will make, and your Vech will last you longer than expected . With that in mind, your normal Drive train Warranty has been upgraded also!!! not 5yr 60k miles. it's now 10yr 100k miles , Something around there. With this Warranty extension Nissan should provide you with means of transportation to accommodate you through any problems you may have. The 2.5 motor is not a bad motor , As i was saying something happened on the 06's during assembly that brought this on , there for , Nissan has Extended it's warranty for you also , on all 06 models effected by this. ...
