turbo d5b7
I have a 93civic hatch with a td04 off a mitsubishi eclipse. I believe it is a 1st gen. Anyway, my question is what kina boost is it pushing and will an FMU be ok until i can redo the fuel system?

the internal wastegate is probably set to 5psi or 7psi. An fmu will probably be enough to handle the boost for now, just watch your air/fuel ratio carefully and get a good engine management system soon.

now is there something about my ecu detecting boost (or pressure) in my manifold that will throw the engine light? I was told possibly there is a sensor in my mani that reads the pressure i too high and throws it. Also, I was told it needs a plate in front of it to block it. Any help would be great.

You may need a mass airflow sensor depending on how much boost you acutally are running.

A MAF? No. Depending on wether your MAP sensor is internal or external you either need a missing link or use the fish valve trick. Both methods keep the MAP from reading the boost. It just sees WOT and the FMU takes over the rest. Your other option (and the proper way) is to get a GM 3 bar MAP, bigger injectors, and have it tuned, but that's expensive; worth it IMO.

Yep, you'll only need the missing link (the "plate" you are refering to) if you're boosting more than 1 bar (14.7 psi). And at the most, your internal wastegate should be set at half that, so you'll be fine without it.

ok, next question. This is just a temporary fix ntil I can get the new map sensor, but how do I use the fish valve trick, what do I need, and how does it work.

You shouldn't need to, because you shouldn't be boosting anywhere near 14psi on a stock D15b7 block. Even with the turbo being on the smaller end of the scale, you shouldn't be boosting over 7-8psi MAX. If you are then, it doesn't matter what engine management system you go with, the engine isn't going to last for very long.

if I don't need the check valve, then why is my engine light coming on? The map sensor is not supposed to read positive manifold pressure.

It depends on wether your MAP is mounted directly on the throttle body or on the firewall. If it's on the throttle body, you need a missing link. If it's on the firewall, you can use the fish valves like this:

my map sensor has two hoses going into it but it is tee'd from one hose that comes from the manifold. How many tees do i need? It goes like this; One vaccuum line from the manifold, then the chek valve, then the vac line again, then it tee's off into two vac lines, then both go into the map sensor at different places. BTW, it is mounted on the firewall.
