To get rid of the light you need to either repair the fault or remove the light. Often a wheel sensor is at fault and that faulty sensor would need to be replaced. I will bet that folks at the Silverado forum will be able to help you a bit more specifically. |

My concern is the fact your brake light is illuminated as well as the ABS light. Likely they are related, but the brake light illumination is a concern as this light comes on for serious issues that do affect normal braking, such as partial loss of hydraulic pressure when you apply the brake. IMO, to be safe, get the vehicle inspected asap, before you drive it any more. |

I have to admit I only thought the ABS light was on and not the standard brake warning light. It wasn't until I read Magic Rat's response did I go back and re-read.
I agree get the standard brakes operational. Something very simple - Check the fluid level. In my 99 Ford low level causes both the red brake light and the ABS to illuminate. |
