AC problem

Hi. I have a 1997 Outback with the 2.5L engine (4cyl). The AC hasn't worked since the head gasket was replaced. Checked the fuse, fuse is OK. The compressor doesn't even try to turn on. Does anyone here know what the problem could be?

Re: AC problem

Have you checked the belt to the compressor - make sure the belt is in tact, the pulleys are tightened to the shafts correctly and the belt tension is correct.

Re: AC problem

Yup. Everything is the way it should be. There is no power going to it. Belt is new and so is alternator. They tightened everything to specs. This should be a simple matter.
