Service Engine Soon code p0130

I brought my 2003 Montana to AutoZone to diagnose the Service Engine code (thanks for the tip - I read that here yesterday) and was told it was code p0130 (I may have misheard - it may be p0131, but I *think* it was 130). I looked up the code online and saw that meant "O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction". Any idea what a repair of that would entail? It's not going to cost me a bundle, is it? And it's not something that I have to fix immediately, is it?

Thanks for your help!
Lisa

Its probably just a bad O2 sensor....if it is the one after the cat, then it isn't that big of a deal.....if it is the one before, you can see diminished performance, and degraded fuel economy.

Thanks for the help. I'm guessing this isn't really an urgent issue, but that I shouldn't let it go *too* long.

Remember a code does not say replace the sensor.
It says check it out.
Many things besides the sensor can set a code.
What engine and mileage what code no for sure?
First check Has the code been cleared and came back.
How is the tune up?

It's a 3.4 engine, 40,000 miles, and the code has been cleared (twice) and come back. I'm not sure if it's ever had a tune-up. I've only had the van since Friday.

Thanks!

Re: Service Engine Soon code p0130

I might be wrong, but wouldn't this be handled under the emissions warranty?

If only 40 K tune up is not due yet.
But the code or problem should be fixed,

As said may be under warranty or close.
But if you just bought take it back.
The people that sold it to you may have knowed about and just cleared the code to get it sold.
Let us know how it goes.
