Problems starting a 88 13b
Ok this is a freind's car, he really hasn't worked on it since he bought it, and it didnt ran before he bought it... Well, i tried cranking it, and it wouldnt crank at first, ingition sounds fine by the way. After a couple of tries, it finally cranked, and a HUGE ASS cloud of smoke white smoke came out the exuast, and some out of the engine bay, and it ran for a couple of seconds before it cut off. Then it took a couple of tries again to get it to crank for a couple of seconds again. After that it hasnt cranked since, well i really havent tried to crank it to much. But i dont know what the problem is, my freind said he cleaned the spark plugs. Well any help will be greatly appreciated.

im not really that sure, but its a manual, non turbo, model 88, 13b

try this.put some atf in the lower spark plug holes.put about a 1/4 cup in each hole.let it set for a couple of days and start it up again.you might have carbon lock and sometimes this works.it will smoke very bad for a couple of mins.but it will be o.k.
