I have a 2002 Chevy Cav. I have replaced the front wheel bearings like 4 times on each side. It seems like I can drive it for about a week and then they will go out. Anyone go any idea of what's wrong with it. I really need to know, because I'm ready to give up and buy a new car, but I really don't want to because mine is paid off right now. HELP!!!!!!

Re: Wheel Bearings
Have a mechanic check the suspension. It sounds like the front wheels are tkaing alot of stress, causing the berrings to go out. Either that, or your buying crappy berrings.

Re: Wheel Bearings
Are you torquing the axle nut properly after the install, & also don't use an impact gun. If the nut is too tight or too loose, that will cause a premature failure.

Re: Wheel Bearings
Do you have a seal on the drive shaft side of the bearing? When i changed mine, i went with TIMKEN.
