96 Mercury Sable LS A/C vent problem

I have a 96 Sable LS with the electronic climate controls. The vent option quit working on me. When I select vent or Auot, the air is blown through the front defogger. I can select front defogger and floor and the air moves appropriately, just not for vent or Auto. Is something stuck or broke and need to take it to a dealer for repair....

Welcome to your first post on AF.
The electronic climate controls has a self test that will help and shows codes and will point you to the problem.
A good all data sub or a factory service manual would be in order.
