1st kill with the FD! Opponent is...

A 2006 350Z with 780 miles on it! His car was bone stock. My car has Intake an catback. We start from a roll at 5mph an go. He immediatly pulls ahead for about a good car length or two. Then I start reeling him in by the end of second I'm half a car length ahead then by 3-4th I'm almost 4 cars by the end of the run I did 110 an finished with about 6-7 car lengths on him!

Anyway, bro, be careful with the street-racing. You are young, and even if you are a good driver, there are many other variables that are out of your control. Street-racing is probably the biggest reason why our precious RX-7's are becoming increasingly rare; it would suck to have your 3rd-gen. wrecked on the side of the highway, be it your fault or someone else's. If you like racing you should join the S.C.C.A. and compete in a real motorsport, and leave the street-racing for the posers.

well slow is a relative term. you would walk a stock twin turbo Z just as bad. but if you look at everything thats out in the market this year from japan, the 350Z is quit beastly. its probrably the top 3 fastest straightline/handling car that you can buy new todya from japan.

yes i would wax one pretty bad too, but that doesn't make it slow. its all relative. the fastest cars to ever come out of japan came from the 90's then money wasn't an issue when developing those cars, thats why they priced themselves out of the market and became extinct.

It could also be because your rotary engines can't go 12 miles before you need an oil change, blow a gasket, or have some kind of mechanical breakdown...food for thought

lol sorry man couldn't help myself, had to take a shot

And 350Z's may not be fast, but a brand new one that hasn't been worn in yet, would be a tad slower then one with 10k...But don't sell your RX-7 short, those were made to compete with your 200ZX's and your Supras, who were ultimately made to fight Corvettes...

Anyways, nice kill

Re: 1st kill with the FD! Opponent is...

He could've easily said my car has 100K+ miles(has it had any sort of rebuild Steve, just wondering)on it and still runs strong and hasn't given me any problems.

I guess I could've taken it wrong or taken offense when he said he eats RSX's for breakfast and calls 350's slow, kinda like hes dogging on the cars, which kinda annoys me when the cars aren't bad at all.

Re: 1st kill with the FD! Opponent is...

I did not mean to insult the 350Z or the RSX. Allow me to correct myself: the Nissan 350 is not particularly fast, and rotary-engines can be just as reliable as a Honda with a bit of tender loving care.

Re: 1st kill with the FD! Opponent is...

HAHA, yea I got you man, its all good. Thats why I put in that part about me taking it wrong. I mean like Tat said, speed is all relative, so for someone driving around in a strong FD, those cars are gonna seem like lesser cars no matter how good they are, just like a Carrera or Ferrari owner would think the car next to his is inferior, including your FD.

Edit : and yes, when taken care of, although it does take a little more effort than other engines, 13B rotaries can be reliable, only problem is you can't buy them new so you have to deal with how the previous owner treated the car or have to go through a rebuild.

Re: 1st kill with the FD! Opponent is...

if a 350Z is slow, what is a stock Rx-7?

what is it, .2 .3 seconds faster in the 1320?

gimme a break, lets not over exagerate

low 14's and high 13's second cars are fast, they beat most cars on the road, until you start running into the LS1's lol
