'00 stereo
my friend has a 2000 taurus se and he wants to put subs and a cd player in it. i was wondering if the 00 and up still had the reciever in the trunk like the 99's. also where could i get an installation kit for the dash. thanks

Yes the RCU is still in the trunk.
The Scosche or Metra kit are about your only options and available from Crutchfield or probably even Best Buy. They run about $60.00 The kit includes everything to run the wires back to the RCU. General concensus is that either of the kits pretty much suck as far as looks. That way you dont have to rewire your speakers. You will also need an AMP kit and a sub controller Mike

yea i checked it out and the thing is back there but he decided to have it done at circuit city or best buy cause we dont wanna deal with it. thanks
