All State 400 Nascar Race

All State 400 Nascar Race
Saturday August 6 2006. 2:00 EST
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Speedway, Indiana

Defending NASCAR Nextel Cup champion and Indiana native Tony Stewart
finally achieved one of his life-long goals last year in winning at his "home
track" -- the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Stewart likely will be the sportsbook favorite to become the first back-to-back winner of the Brickyard's
annual Nextel Cup race, and just the second driver to win the event more than
once (Jeff Gordon, who lived in Indiana while racing USAC sprint cars, has
won the race four times).

All state 400 breakdowns (updated thru July 14)
• Venue: Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
• Corporate sponsor: Allstate
• First race: 1994
• Distance: 400 miles (644 km).
• Number of laps: 160.
• Previous names: Brickyard 400 (1994—2004).

• The first 500-Mile International Sweepstakes was held on May 30, 1911
