Bosch O2 sensors vs OEM

I have been having idle problems with my daughters 2000 Sentra GXE 1.8L.
I finally had to go to the dealer for a scan and advice. They said to replace the top O2 sensors. The ones that were in it were replaced before we got the car. They were the generic version and did not plug into the factory sockets. They had cut the wires going to the sensors and just twisted the new wires together and black taped them. I put Bosch replacements in from Advance Auto day before yesterday. It ran worse than ever. I took it back to the dealer for a scan and they said that the new sensors were pegged out at 137%. I talked to Advance this am and they will have replacements tomorrow. But, what are the chances of gettting two bad ones out of the box? The dealer says that sometimes a Nissan will only run on a Nissan sensor. Has anyone had any experience like this ? Also, the Bosch that I put in plugged into the factory plugs. Thanks!!

Re: Bosch O2 sensors vs OEM

Bocsh parts suck on Nissans. Grab some generic Napa or OEM Nissan parts. Bosch parts just don't work with Nissans for some reason, especially spark plugs.

I don't know for your car but I know the GA16's came with Bosch O2 sensors stock, so I would say that it should be fine even if they are no longer the OEM for the 1.8
