Setting timing on 95 Tracker 16v

The timing is 5 deg BTDC with the check connector short circuited. Where is the check connector and how do I short circuit it?

On a 96, it's on the passenger side in the engine compartment near the headlight. It's a plug looking thing with a rubber cap on it that has 6 connectors in it. You short it by putting a jumper wire from #4 to #5. Take the jumper out before you drive the car. Don't know if a 95 is the same. Ed
