Re: mods for my car

Jeez louise, that's like at least $10k in mods. It's too hard to say how much HP it would give, because every car is different. You want to make sure it's tuned good. All those mods and a bad tune won't even compare to what it would be with a good tune...

Re: mods for my car

and FYI I wouldn't get the 3sx turbos. You can get much better ones than that. with all that money you are putting it in, I would go with dr-800 or dr-1000's instead. i would also recommend the ATR downpipe. by looking at the list it's prolly closer to $20k. A bunch of stuff on there has 0.00 prices.

I know everyone has their own preferences and what not, so don't take this the wrong way, because I love my VR4 to death, and I just can't seem to want to sell her, even though it's probably the best thing for me at this time, but if I had $20k right now I'd be using that money towards a viper. That's just me though. I will be buying a viper in 4 years after I turn 30. I've always wanted one, and I will be able to afford one by the time I turn 30

Re: mods for my car

I like vipers too, but i always loved the style of a Stealth, my dad was a mechanic for about 35-40 years, and when i was about 7, he drove one home in to the garage, and i always wanted one. thanks for the help on the ATR downpipe, and does anyone know where i could get a carbon fiber hood for the stealth, i've been lookin but a lot of sites are generic and don't offer much to the stealth, 3sx is the only big break i've gotten ... thanks

Re: mods for my car

If you like vipers check out the 1200hp Viper on cardomain

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2139389

I personally don't like that BOV, you arn't going to need external waste gates, The brakes are really overdoing it, get F40 Brembo's which are also on 3SX these are still pro calipers, no need for a front mount unless you have TD05's. I would port and flow headers, also add an exteranl oil cooler to the list.

For carbon hoods go to: http://www.importprecision.com/carbo...i%203000gt.htm

You deff need a good suspension set up. with these mods you are looking at about 500+hp at the fly

Re: mods for my car

A little of topic here (ok way off topic) but after I posted about the viper, i went searching, and I might be crazy....but when I'm 30, I don't think I'm going to get a viper anymore. I think I've decided to buy a Ferrari Testarossa instead. It would be in the same price range, but a much more of a "holy shit" then a viper. I can't wait.

Re: mods for my car

photoblocker is trash and a waste of money.

also, the TD05 headers won't work with the 3SXecutioner turbos which are TD04 in size.

also, the last pic you listed, that Accelerator Race Fuel additive is most likely no good. if you want race fuel, then get race fuel, don't get an additive. have 2 tunes. one for pump gas with X psi, and one for race fuel with X+Y psi.

for carbon fiber hoods, go to DeftRacing.com

Re: mods for my car

hey, seriously man, are you doing ANY research bout these cars? or are you just picking out what mods "sound cool" or "look cool"? it seems to me as if you're just copying and pasting 'cool-looking' pictures. honestly, i don't think you know much at all about these cars. so if you're gonna mod your car, you'll probably spend a lot of money then blow up your engine.

reason i say this is b/c in your 1st post, you carelessly threw in TD05 headers with TD04 turbos. now, in your 2nd post you threw in the Starion/Conquest clutch when your talking about the 3000GT/Stealth cars.

before you can mod, you need to know how our engines work, how to tune properly, what supporting mods to get, and a bunch of other stuff. our FAQ stick thread is chock full of useful info. read the FAQ, follow the links to other websites, read them, re-read them, then ask questions.

asking questions (whether or not you think its a stupid question) is the best way to learn. so until you can prove/show us that you're serious about learning/modding the 3S, i just can't take you seriously.

Re: mods for my car

Yeah no offense but it looks a bit more like a wet dream then a mod list. Hang around, read the FAQ, and ask questions, because your mod list looks a little too much like it was taken from a video game.
