Auto-manual trans
i had an 92 teg with man tran and miss it dearly, now i have a 94 lude si with auto tranny and was wondering if it would be worth it to swap it with a manual transmission< i know it would be a lot of work. or would it be better to wait for another car to come around

Re: Auto-manual trans
i've got an auto 94 Si too and i was kind of thinking about doing a swap. but is it really worth it when you could just as easily spend that money on performance parts? i dont think so...but it depends on how much manual tranny means to you i guess. do you have any idea how much a swap costs? cuz i would still like to know

Re: Auto-manual trans
well ill put it this way, if you put the same mods into an auto as you do a manual, the manual will always win(with a good driver). I'm not quite sure what the pricing would be, but it would be the expense of a new transmission, new clutch setup, i belive you would either have to replace or recalibrate the ecu and im sure there's a few more little things that would need to be done. So if anybody has accomplished this or knos about it plz help. Thank You
