Sluggish AT in the morning

On the 99' GCL, the AT when first starting the engine and letting it warm up
(1-2 minutes or so) and putting it into Drive, the tranny seems to slip or not move as "normal", like when it's hot. Once the tranny's running for a few miles and restarted, you'd never know.

The tranny fluid and filter was done at the stealership, as they had a great special pricing and could have it done while I was able to run some other errands. The tranny is original with 172,000 miles, no leaks and double checked the level.

While I know, it's not a problem now, just wondering if the tranny's looking to retire soon?
