Unhappy interior falling apart

I have an '82 Supreme, and part of my interior is falling apart. Its the trim pieces that go around the windows and through the middle of the door. I want to take it off because it looks horrible, I was wondering if anyone else had that problem and if theres an easier way to get it off. I've been scraping it off...

Re: interior falling apart

Welcome to AF !

Can you be more specific on which pieces you are talking about?

The part thats around the front windshield ,
or the windows on the door...
or the one on the sides of the rear seats,
or the back windows ???

Re: interior falling apart

All of it sadly...but the worst of it is around all of the windows and the armrest on the doors. It kind of feels like really fine sand on you hands after you rub any of the trim.
