36 point inspection????yeah okay

I just purchased a '99 chevy lumina LTZ with 64,000miles on it. I talked the dealer down almost $1500 bucks on the price! I guess I got a decent deal. I asked for a carfax report, it was in my hands in five minutes! The car had been in an accident but with minor damage. The driver's door had been repainted, but the job was very well done. But my only real concern when buying the car was the texture of the coolant in the reservoir. My car takes DEX Cool coolant, so I knew that it should have been changed probably a few thousand miles ago. The dealership made a big deal about a "36 point" inspection. The oil and tranny fluid were good, and the car had new tires, but this coolant was gritty. How can a person miss something so obvious?? It's right there; hard to miss. It's not like it's a major job to flush out some coolant and pour some new in . I just thought it was ignorant of a dealership to miss something so obvious. I bought the car anyway, had the coolant flushed by my mechanic ($40 parts/labor) not too bad a deal I guess. Some people...I just don't know
