Range on key remote-Buick Skylark
I have a 1996 Buick Skylark. I have to be standing within 4 feet of the car to et it to unlock. Its been that way since I bought it. Is there a way to get more range for it. It never bothered me until I got a mini van that can unlock the doors about 25 feet away.

Re: Range on key remote
Do you have a spare or a new remote or tried a new battery in the old one? It should work from at least 25 feet away.

Re: Range on key remote
4 feet is really close. But still ok if your hands are full I guess.
My girlfriend has a 99 Olds Cutlass and a 04 Alero. You have to be fairly close with the Cutlass - maby within 20 feet or so. The Alero remotes will work from a much much further distance. Just my experience with these 2 GM remotes. |
