02 a/c not working

My 02 Monte SS only blows hot air. I just bought the refill kit, filled it up(it was already almost filled) and it still only blows warm air. I ran it with the air blowing full for about and hour on a ride and no change. This summer heat is killer, and the old lady doesnt like messing up her hair. LOL. any help?

Get a gauge manifold installed and check both low- and high-side pressures. Compare the readings to the T/P chart at the current ambient temperature, and see if they are reasonbly close to normal operating pressures.

Out of curiosity, how do you know the system "was already almost filled"?

Re: 02 a/c not working

I used a gauge that came on the cans. It said it was at a good level. My 95 blazer had a similar prob. I found out it was a wiring prob. a plug that connects to the canister to detect if the freon is to low was malfunctioning. Typical problem. I had to use a jumper wire to trick it. Not sure if this is the same im gonna try and repost results. If there are any other suggestions, please keep them coming
