I have a 2001 eclispe that the p1610 dtc has set in. dtc p1610 means imobilizer malfunction which leaves the car dead it won't even crank over at all. I tried replacing the pcm and the ecu but none of that has worked does the computer need reprogrammed after replacment. and has anyone had this problem and figured out what the problem was. any tips would help.

Re: dtc p1610
Probably a stupid question, but you are sure the problem isnt with your keys? You havent bent the black rubber piece or anything? I doubt this is the case, but other than that I dont know what to tell you. Good luck man, that sucks.
