Now taking donations to fix 'little casper'...

Not really, but seriously, lol. My little project is going to be expensive!

How expensive you ask??? In the neighborhood of about $10,500 !!

But, $10,500 (roughly now) will get me the following:
-mild steel 2"x3" tube frame
-12 pt. roll cage
-round tubing rear frame
-4 link suspension w/coil over shocks
-Moser 12-bolt rearend, complete, disc brakes
-strut or A-arm front suspension (not decided on which, but they cost the same)
-disc brakes
-new master cylinder
-rack and pinion steering
-steering shaft
-brake and gas pedals
-motor mounts
-mid plate
-all new alluminum on the inside

Basically, everything that matters will be brand new . The only thing that will be reused on my car will be the body.

Its going to be setting a lot lower too. 3 inches is as low as you can go and be legal so that's probably what I'll shoot for. Maybe a fuz higher. 2 weeks is the earliest the place can start on it. So I've got 2 weeks to come up with 65% of about $10,000, lol. So, I guess I'll just see how much money the bank will let me borrow, lol. Hopefully, the whole $10grand. But if not, then oh well, lol.

I'm also going to change my wheel/tire size all around. But that's not included in my price above, lol. 32x14s on the rear (from 31x14s) and then 25x4.5 or 26x4.5 on the front (from p195/75/14, aka, snow tires, lol).

Last year when I decided on building a 383 stroker I was shooting for 6.60s in the 1/8th. I beat that as you know with a 6.55 pass. After I get my car fixed and get everything lined out, I'm shooting for 6.30s. I figure having a professionally set up frame/suspension PLUS 300-400 lbs less weight should pick me up 2 tenths. Regardless, I hope to find out late this year.

Heh, I'd donate a dollar to your "baby" Camaro, but only if you donate one to mine

Lol. Ok then, lol.

And yeah, a Vega is basically a scaled down Camaro.

I know, I was only using two brain cells that day and one was on crutches.
