door adjustments

i have a 96 jimmy, which is the same thing as a blazer. my door, it does not pop open when you pull the handle from the outside. It just kinda sits there and then you have to push it open....this is only on the drivers door. all the other doors i beleive pop open. is it just me or my imagination or is there some way to adjust it.

yep, common problem, pin and bushings can be found in the little red boxes in the help section of any auto store. The bad thing is the pesky little spring that sits in front of the pin, you can just pull it out but getting it back in is a beotch unless you got that handy little door spring compressor tool. It costs about 30 bucks online, couldnt find that tool anywhere local.

Re: door adjustments

No being rude, but when ever does a door "pop" open?

Re: door adjustments

that is a good question BlazerLT and the only time they do is if you have remote entry, which is a nifty little thing if you have someone trying to break in to your car! unless the Bastards break your window out!
