What The Hell Do You Do???

So what job is it that all of you are not doing while cruising AF during the day?

I'm an intern for the Marketing Department at Northwestern University. So I should be creating some profiles on potential media vendors for 2007, but instead I'm on AF wasting away.

i'm a bum. i have no job cuz no one wanted to hire me for just the summer. applying for jobs at the library at the university tho, hopefully i'll be working there starting september

well right now im working at a locksmith company. just answering phones and doing bills and shit on the computer. pretty much getting paid for doing jack shit.

I work for an investment bank. Kind of like a stockbroker, but a more interesting position.

I am a construction worker/ general laborer. I build walls, take down walls, and fill dumpsters. $8 and they buy lunch, pretty good for a first job.

Free food is the greatest at work! But whenever I'm not at work, i don't know what to do. Paying for sustinance just seems so wrong.

I work on a gokart track. i'm that creepy track attendant who hits on the 16 year olds...... not really.

anyways, it's a fine job, not much to do but hang out and talk, on any day other than tuesdays (99 cent tuesdays, 1 lap for a dollar), weekends, or if we have a big group. i basicly spend my time directing people, starting ppl up, and kicking ppl off that just makes my day, whenever i kick a group of like 4 people off, it's great stress release.

Very similar. I work for a provider of corporate retirement plans. 401(k)s, pensions and all that boring stuff that, being the geek I am, actually find facinating.

This summer, I've been working at a steel pipe fitting plant doing quality control work like testing, measuring, stuff like that. The best though was when I get to play courier; they give me a pice(s) of metal samples to drive 120mi round trip to an outside testing facility, to the tune 48.5 cents/mi and the music from my cars CD player Even durring a regular day, I'm still loving it, its all hands on and I get nice and dirty until the point where my mother says I look like a coal miner when I come home every day.

You guys are right about the free food, last week durring the heat wave an Ice Cream truck showed up one after noon. Oh, and at the company picnic, they had (all free) the usual hotdogs and burgers, a bag of steamed/boiled for every guest, plus a few kegs of beer Sucked that I'm still only 19

But in about 3 weeks, I'm back to being a full-time student.
