K&N air filters - are they worth it?
so are they worth it? will i notice any difference whatso ever? ie in fuel economy or performance? (94CivAutoAir4dr) if not whats the point?
Do they actually filter the air just as well as the paper ones? After looking at them and their funky display, i definately believe they let more air through, probably only about 5-10% more, but i'm not so sure they filter the air as well as paper... at any rates whats your take on them |

It'll add a little more pep, but don't expect to be runnin' next to mustangs and camaros in the near future.

I'm considering going with a CAI, but not sure yet.. any down sides at all for a CAI (other than noise)? ie reliability?longevity?economy? thanks! |

My open air filters did seemed to make a slight difference in performance on my 95 (I had that done before a bunch of other mods) but the biggest thing it gave me was a few extra mpg and I didn't have to clean/swap it out like the paper ones.
I only noticed the mpg on the 94. I'm happy I put it on them. I'll probably put at least the replacement K&N filter on the Accord sometime this summer.

Ok, thanks for the info, i'm probable going to go with a CAI system, but if i don't I'll at least get the K&N.
Anyone else have an opinion? |
