spark plug oil.
My JDM B16A Civic was running sluggish a couple months back and when I changed the plugs, they all pretty much had oil on them. With my small knowledge of engines, it seems that my piston rings are shot. Next question...The Civic was my daily driver, but I now want to go turbo. I won't be doing the work myself, so no worries of my lack of skill. My problem is that I can get a B16A for around $600 (going rate in Okinawa). So should I work on the oil problem or just get another engine? Going turbo, I need low compression pistons anyways, so should I use the same engine to rebuild or buy another engine and rebuild it? Please give me some suggestions...Thanks.

Re: spark plug oil.
The oil could also be comming from a leaking valve stem seal. At ay rate, if you need the car for commuting every day then buy the other motor and rebuild it for turbo so you can swap it in. If you can afford to not have the car running for a little longer then just rebuild the motor that's in the car. That would be cheaper.
