I have a 1990 Honda accord ex with 100+ mil. The speedometer has been broken for some time. I bought a new one off ebay for the exact make and model, got a good deal on it. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem im in, and tell me how to do it.

Re: How do I install a new speedometer?
Out of interest, does your cruise work? Because if it doesn't you may have wasted your money. The speed sensor affects both cruise and the speedo (and, in my limited experience) it's a lot more likely to fail than the speedo.

if you take the back off of the old cluster There should be like 4 screws that hold the speedo in place and if you take them out and take the front cover off you should be able to lift the old one out and put the new one back in the way you took it out. the hole thing should not take but 10-15 min or so I did it to my 91 accord and had no problems.
