Parts For Sale:

Hey, change of plans, here's what I'm asking for all of these parts(plus shipping, actual shipping, I'm not gonna jack it up to make money)... My 1991 Stealth was totaled, if you recall:

Fidanza lightweight flywheel(less than 12k miles) -$250 (plus shipping on all parts)
Exedy Stage I clutch (less than 12k miles) extra $50 (w/flywheel)
Stock Flywheel (~5k miles on resurface) $75
Cold Air intake (kinda scratched up, less than 20k miles) -$25
Air bag computer
Airbag (steering wheel)
Steering wheel
IAC
Intake Manifold- $80
Engine computer
Throttle Body-$45

Bidder will pay shipping... shipping will be from 27802 (Rocky Mount, North Carolina)
I will be listing other parts as I get a chance to look over car...

(I need cash for a house... hit me up, $500 will get the whole car(will need to be towed or trailered), the rear hatch and rear bumper are screwed, and the transmission. Front bumper is dented, hood crumpled, and driver's headlight (front damage from deer)... other than that, the car is straight... )
My car was a 1991 Dodge Stealth, Base (SOHC)
5-speed transmission (case destroyed, and 5th gear missing)
it had 152k miles... but most of the aftermarket parts were put on there within the last 20-30k... b/c I only had the car since 128k...

Re: Parts For Sale:

sry, my Stealth/3000 was a SOHC... not the same injector and not the same impedance...

I'll sell the set though $75 plus shipping...

They all work... the car still runs... but can't be put back on the road (the title's clear and not a salvage, insurance didn't do a damn thing)
the rear is too messed up to get another inspection...

Re: Parts For Sale:

ON topic.

your Fidanza lightweight flywheel caught my eye. not that i have the money for that right now (and i'd rather get some solid motor mounts next), i assume it would fit a DOHC...duh, yes, of course, we have the same transmission.

but what are your thoughts on it? did you like it more than the stock flywheel? i know revs rise and fall much quicker with it, but did you ever find this annoying or difficult to keep the car in the power band when going WOT? or perhaps annoying when just driving normal, cruising, b/c rpms would drop too fast to get a normal shift in? i'm just curious.

Re: Parts For Sale:

what's the condition of the IAC? I am looking for one in 100% working order w/o having to mess with it/clean it.

I was in NY for 3+ weeks, give me a break
I honestly never thought it would be so hard to get one freaking injector...but nobody wants to split up sets of 6, so I might have to call Rockville

Re: Parts For Sale:

Rockville FTW!

i needed a timing tensioner, and called them. i think they quoted me a price of something like 90 bucks. every other place it was around 150. i love Rockville.

I loved the flywheel... it doesn't actually give u much hp (and yeah, lightening the rotating mass frees up hp to the wheels) but it feels like it... and you get to use the hp a lot sooner... I loved the thing to death, I'm not just trying to sell it... but I was able to race many of the Hondas out here, leaving at idle... (I didn't want them to hear my motor and back out)... it makes the car rev a lot faster... so as long as you speed shift, no problem... it increased the torque quite a bit... the car would ball the tires going into third (not spinning on launch, just every shift)... and that was on my SOHC... (and yeah, the flywheel fits the DOHC (f5m33 transmission only[FWD])

And to address your questions directly, you do have to shift more to keep it in the power band, but getting into the power band from lower rpms happens a lot faster... WOT- The only problem here is keeping the tires on the rims... driving normal- the stop and go is a little different, and it takes a little bit of learning in the beginning, but it's like a bike, once you learn, you'll never forget... I did stall the car a few times, but it started right back, and took off fast enough to compensate...
cruising-just the same as the stock flywheel, no real change, accept when you stomp the pedal, you really feel the acceleration...

The only downside I noticed, was the idle... it seemed to have trouble keeping it steady... as the engine is expecting a 30lb flywheel, it will idle faster, sensors will read it being too fast and drop the idle, and it happens over and over... I'd say idle gets a bit lopy... I haven't driven the car in a few months, but I wanna say it was between 800 and 1200 rpm...
you can probably adjust this, I just never took the time... and with my exhaust, it made it sound like a lopy V8...
P.S.- I posted a thread or reply a/b it right after I got it... so don't think I'm making this up for a sale... just search for my old post...

I can clean it, but it came off of my car, and I never had a problem out of it... I'll try and get some pics...

The cold air intake does have the piping (filter needs cleaned/replaced) it's by a company called racedreamz motorsports (on ebay) look it up... it's the full-cold air intake(made for DOHC, goes through fender with slight modifications)

the filter is red... if I get a chance in the morning, I'll link to an auction where they are selling the same thing... (for reference)

The piping in mine is a bit scratched (from installation, and going in the fender) but it functions the same... I'm not even asking near what I paid for it...

Here's a link to the exact kit I have (colors are different, but same kit): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-99...QQcmdZViewItem
