Advice on DDE's

Has anyone had any problem with their headlights since hooking up their DDE's? This mod is pretty far down my list of things to do, but I am really worried about opening that headlight and then having it leak or get foggy.

Re: Advice on DDE's

the only reason i haven't done it is cuz I can't bring myself to stick my HID's in an oven. i've heard of a couple small problems with DDE's like Umnitza's, things like the rings breaking and getting dead spots or the HID ballast melting.

Re: Advice on DDE's

Really? That many problems? I think I may have just crossed something off of my list that probably won't get done anyway.
Yeah I was very concerned about putting those lights in the oven. It's like putting $1200 in the oven hoping it doesn't catch fire. I'll save the money for the lightweight pulley

Re: Advice on DDE's

i'm hoping to find someone who's selling their car with the DDE's already installed and seeing if they'd be willing to trade their DDE headlights for my stock HId's and a couple hundred bucks.

Re: Advice on DDE's

I am glad to see them for sale on ebay for $560/pair. Thats alot better than the dealer price, but still too steep for my budget.
