97 Keyless remote

Just bought my son a 97 LeSabre with 87,000mi.
Both of the remotes did not work.
Upon reading the owner’s manual, I thought the batteries were dead.
Opened up the remotes and found that the wire spring clip that holds the battery in place was loose.

I was able to solider to two prongs back in to place.
Now it's working.
Just thought I would pass this info along since I didn't see the topic
doing a search.

Roger
PS

My ieSpell option does not work on this forum.
Does it have its own option for spell check?

Thumbs up Re: 97 Keyless remote

Roger, welcome to AF and thanks for the "tip" on your first post! I am sure that your tip will help someone. I am not aware of a "spell check" in this forum; however, you can highlight and copy text in the message box and then, copy to MS Word to do the spell check. After that, highlight what you have corrected and drag it back into the message text box.

Re: 97 Key less remote

I have a Google toolbar that has a spell check on it. It checks any forums I post at AND it is better then MS WORD Spell check.
