Coolant Issues
My motor runs fine before the coolant warms up to operating tempeture. It begins to run rich after it warms up. What is going on?
I was thinking a disconnected ECT sensor. |

are you sure its because the coolant warms up? could it be running rich cause the engine is getting hot?
i really dont know much about that, but maybe the coolant system need flushing? just a shot in the dark...

I am pretty sure it is your O2 sensor. There is a getto but effective way to fix it but I am not recommending you to do it, so just replace it will a new one.
PS. How old is your O2 senor anyway?

Going to have to figure out what is causing this... Just re-placing the O2 sensor well not fix the prob. In most cases, it will just turn around and foul the new one... hehehe
Have a look at the timing and cam/crankshaft alignment. It may be running a little to retarded, causing the rich condition. Or the fpr is failing on you, allowing to much pressure to build. As far dis-connecting the ECT sensors goes. That will not solve the problem, chances are it will create a whole new set of performance issues of cold starts ect.... Go here if you want to go ahead and check-it tho.. http://geocities.com/chipman_13/sens...-shoot.html#TA "Noth'in like Induction..." ![]() -Ryan-
