1998 Dodge wont start after transmission swap

my hubby did a transmission swap for a friend on his 1998 Dodge pick up. Now it wont start. He replaced the crankshaft position sensor, after the dealership said this was the problem, and it still won't start. He has checked fuel, spark, wires, coil, everything. Nothing has worked. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Re: 1998 Dodge wont start after transmission swap

If the engine is turning over, double check that all the wiring is plugged in correctly. I had the same problem with mine. It was a round rubber boot that covers two prong plug. If I remember correctly it's on the driver side of the transmission. The other possiblitily is if he didn't take the battery off and he ground out the starter. Then it's a fuse in the power distrubution center under the hood. Take the two engine fuses out and open the top of the fuse to verify that they have not blown. I also had a fuse go and it did the same thing. But you need to open up the fuse and look because I looked over three times and did not catch it. I hope this helps
