Nsx?
I recently read that Honda has dropped the concept "HSC" that debuted at the '03 tokyo autoshow. For packaging purposes, honda claims it will use a 10-cylinder engine instead of a V8. also, it will move toward a Front-Engine design... i sure as hell they know what they're doing, you can't fuck around with legend like this....

Re: Nsx?
Yea, back when the NSX first came out, nearly 15 years ago, it was one of the most technogolically advanced cars out there. The problem was, they never updated it, & it turned into a $90,000 car with only 290 HP.
A VTEC V10 in the new version would be a sweet thing. Could very well make upwards of 600 HP if they tuned it correctly. I agree, the front engine design seems a little iffy, espically if they are planning a V10 upgrade. We'll have to wait & see for the final product though, hopefully it'll come into production before the end of the decade. |

Re: Nsx?
I read a press release where Honda hinted at V10 and possibly a mid-engine, all-wheel drive setup. Either way, I think the NSX wouldn't be the NSX without the mid-engine configuration.

Re: Nsx?
Honda was a real gouber for keeping the NSX NA.
A 280hp $90K is a joke. i know about the agreement in Japan Honda has continued to be hard headed with na powered FWD. Each platform has a place. the NSX should have shocased a SH-AWD drive train. If they wanted to keep it na it should have veen a v10-v12 that would have blown peoples socks off. 280hp v6 x 2 = 520hp v12 with VTEC FI sound screeming in your ears. But sadly no. They built it and walked away. For a company who makes great cars. It was criminaly stupid. How deff do you get when you run one of these companys. |
