Keyless Entry for 98 GMC Yukon SLE
I have a 1998 GMC Yukon SLE and the Keyless entry isn't working properly,you see if you hit the lock button on the remote twice it is supposed to make the horn chirp as confirmation of security system, but it does not.The horn, fuses and relays have been checked and is working properly. In the manual it says that the horn is suppose to chirp? I have taken it to a Chevy/GMC dealerhip in my hometown,(SC) and they said it couldn't be reprogrammed because it doesn't say how-to in the owners manual? Can anyone help me with info on how to fix this problem or how to reprogram the keyless entry module to make the horn chirp again before i decide to consult another dealership with this issue.

I had the same thing happen to me on my 99 suburban.
The light under the hood was busted and in the process of replacing it I shorted it out. After that my horn did'nt work when I locked it. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver side finder well, I dont remember witch fuse it was that was blown but I know it wasnt one of the brakers. If thats not it I dont know what to tell you. Good Luck!
